Rahul (Shahrukh) is the director of stage musical and divides him time passively between Pooja (Madhuri) ,the woman of his dreams ,and Nisha (Karishma),the girl who always adores Rahul. Although Karishma is a very good dancer, Rahul still thinks that there is someone better than her, and imagines Maya as her. He tells his friends about his imaginary dancer Maya, and that he will bring her to dance for his next show. On the other side, Madhuri Dixit, who later becomes Shahrukh's Maya, lives with her uncle and aunty, and works out in a gym, right next to Rahul's club. She doesn't believe in arrange marriage, and thinks that there is someone made for everyone in the world, and that one will just feel it, when he comes. Rahul thinks the opposite. He thinks there is no such thing as Love, and he doesn't believe in living with a same girl all his life. Karishma was in love with Rahul, but he never admitted if he loves her or not. Karishma, fractures her leg during one of the practices for their upcoming show, and that's when Rahul starts looking for his Maya. His search came to the end ,when he comes across Maya (Madhuri Dixit). Pooja wasn't a professional dancer, but Rahul turns her into one. While he was teaching her how to dance, he falls in love with her. In the mean time, Poorja inadvertently told Ajay (Akshay Kumar) that she will marry him after being proposed by him, although she was in love with Rahul too. All these drama comes down to the final musical show, where it all comes to an end. Akshay Kumar comes to the place where the show is running and its all up to Pooja to decide...Who will she pick? Rahul or some geek Ajay? Just remeber all the stories doesn't end with a happy ending specailly Shah movies, or does it?
